HBO Go Dominates My Life

Hola People of the Internet! I’ll make this quick cause I’ve got important stuff to do. No, not anything productive or anything like that. I’ve got to watch shit on HBO GO. That’s it. Just watch movies, original programing or comedy shows or whatever.

Wonder what I’ve done this weekend? I’ve sat around and watched The Wire. That’s freaking it. Oh and I took some time to do some show prep and then we had another awesome episode of I’m With Stupid on Saturday. And then right after that I watched Arkansas deliver a beat down to Auburn. But, after that? Just sitting here watching The Wire.

Seriously people. All Sunday I just sat here, drank Pepsi, ate Always Save Nacho Cheese Tortilla Chips and watched The Wire. I didn’t even bother with any NFL action. Hell, last I checked my fantasy team was losing 46-36 to Sunshine State Shirley’s team. How did it turn out? Fuck if I know.

Are they still Occupying Wall Street? Still got wars going in Iraq and Afghanistan? Bunch of guys and one gal still running for the GOP nomination? I wouldn’t know. I don’t have time for that unimportant shit anymore.

I want to watch an action movie? I’ll just go to HBO Go and watch The A-Team. Or maybe the whole damn Beverly Hills Cop Trilogy. Can’t beat that!

Looking for something a little more gory? Machete baby!

Maybe I wanna watch bubbly and sweet Katie Morgan run around nekkid. She’s available 24/7.

Mobsters? Every single episode of The Sopranos is on there.

Maybe I want to laugh. How ‘bout Lewis Black? Bill Maher? Dave Attel?

It goes on and on and on people. The internet is already like crack and now HBO GO is like super-duper mojo-dula crack. I start doing something else and it only takes a couple of minutes until I’m thinking that I need to check in on McNulty and everyone. Or maybe watch some comedy shows. Or nekkid chicks. I just can’t freaking take it.

And when the streaming messes up and the video isn’t perfect High Definition? Oh man! It’s a shit-storm of #FirstWorldProblems. When that happens, I’m sitting here yelling at the computer. “GAWDDAMMIT! This is bullshit! I’m being deprived of my Sunday afternoon entertainment! Fix this shit!”

Then, at approximately 7:24 pm CDT on Sunday night disaster struck.  HBO GO’s website went down. What the hell am I supposed to do now? This is a disaster. I don’t think I can handle it. I’m shaking and can’t stop crying.

Okay, it’s back. Whew! That was a terrifying seven minutes. But now the “Press Escape to Exit Full Screen Mode” thing won’t go away. OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! You’re killing me guys. You know what? That’s it. I’m not gonna put up with this. I’m heading to the Google Machine to find a number for HBO and then it’ll be time to chew some ass.

*UPDATE* Turns out it was all Cox Cable’s fault. Well, so much for that. It doesn’t do any good to talk to them. They don’t care. *sigh*

In other news, Saturday’s “Jews, Booze and a Caribbean Cruise” episode of I’m With Stupid was just what you’ve come to expect from us. It was irreverent, unpredictable, fast moving and down right, uh, different. You just don’t get this kind of fun jocularity anywhere else people.

We talked Yom Kippur. And don’t think we’re not experts on that, cause we are. We hit all the highlights of the Highest of all High Holy Days. Then, we dished out some amazing, little known trivia about Columbus and how he discovered Rihanna.  In between we shared some fascinating stories about Turkey Trot Festivals and celebrating Yom Kippur with Mel Gibson. Finally, Mrs. Mike called and we just hung out with her and chilled.

All of together? Radio gold my friends, radio gold. So, check it out and tell all your friends and enemies all about the show. Hell, you can even Stumble, Digg, Reddit, Facebook or Tweet the show. Among other things.

Matt Said, Jay Said VIII

It’s Saturday. MSJS. Go.

Matt: “I thought I blocked this numer.”
Jay: “You can’t cause I’m a NINJAAAA”
Matt: “A Redneck Ninja?”
Jay: “They exist. I mean, WE exist.”
Matt: “Were you trained by Mr. Miyagi?”
Jay: “No, I just watched Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon a bunch of times.

Matt: “Damn, Wednesday’s show was a good one!”
Jay: “Hell yeah! Even my mother thought it was really good.”
Matt: “Wow! It MUST have been good then.”
Jay: “Yeah, because she’s not one to just hand out compliments.”
Matt: “Well, no. It’s hard enough keeping your ego in check as it is.”
Jay: “I can’t help it. I’ve got a lot of game.”
Matt: “And swagger?”
Jay: “Goes without saying.”

Matt: “Want me to do the Babe of the Week on Sunday this week?”
Jay: “Sure. Got anyone in mind?”
Matt: “No.”
Jay: “Well, it’s Yom Kippur, so you should go with a Jewish girl.”
Matt: “You’re just so damn practical.”
Jay: “Well, when I think Jewish Girls, I think Natalie Portman.”
Matt: “Yeahhhhhhh .. but …”
Jay: “TO THE GOOGLE MACHINE! I’ll search for ‘Jewish celebrities’”
Matt: “Great idea! That list can’t be too long.
Jay: “How ‘bout Bar Rafaeli? She’s an Israeli Jew.”
Matt: “As Hank Jr would say “OOHHHHHH YEAHHHHHH!”
Jay: “I’m sure she’ll be honored.”
Matt: “Well, she won’t be offended at least. I mean, it’s not HER Sabbath.”

Matt: “Fucking Hank Williams Jr.”
Jay: “He’s kind of a dumb ass.”
Matt: “Yeah, and now we have to include him on the blog and show too somehow.”
Jay: “This is getting ridiculous.”
Matt: “So much stupid, so little time.”
Jay: “Why do they all have to do stupid shit at once?”
Matt: “Jay, our burden is heavy. But, we can handle it.”
Jay: “We’ll just keep on, keeping on.”

Matt: “I bet Christie will still kinda, sorta run.”
Jay: “Nah. He doesn’t want to run.”
Matt: “Well, he might allow himself to be drafted.”
Jay: “Maybe, but I think it’s over. The establishment will rally around Romney like Mormons attacking a wagon train in Mountain Meadows. Or something.”
Matt: “I don’t know.”
Jay: “I think they’re ready to start working on ‘The Big One.”
Matt: “Exactly! Christie!”

Jay: “Okay show ideas.”
Matt: “Yom Kippur. Hank Jr. Columbus Day?”
Jay: “Right! Good call.”
Matt: “Which one.”
Jay: “All of ‘em. We’ll jump around a bit.”
Matt: “I guess we could work with that.”
Jay: “Okay then. Done.”
Matt: “Later ya Sick Fuck.”
Jay: “Later Freak.”

So, don’t forget to join us at 6:30 pm EDT TONIGHT for the “Jews, Booze and a Caribbean Cruise” episode of “I’m With Stupid!”

And, if you would like to get ready for tonight’s show by listening to our AWESOME Wednesday show where we talked Amanda Knox, Occupy Wall Street and other fascinating stuff with three truly wonderful calls. First was Hannah (A.K.A. Sweet Pea), then Lisa in Chicago called with some great insight and then we hung out with the always fun and charming Warrior Kat and talked about cops and illegals and Texas and Mexico among other things. And then at one point Kat and Jayman sand a little bit of “Working for the Weekend” by Loverboy. So check it out!!

We Occupy Wall Street So You Don't Have To

Hola I’m With Stupid nation! This is Alistair Byron Armstrong Tennyson IV here. Of the Connecticut Tennyson’s? I’m a student majoring in government and international relations at NYU. I chose a school in Manhattan because I felt it was time for me to get out in the real world and meet people from other walks of life and of lower social status than mine.

I’m one of the leaders of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Matt-Man and Jayman have graciously given me the opportunity to tell the world what the OWS movement is all about here on their blog. I’m so grateful to them for their support and decency.  And, I thought it would be helpful if I told you how this all started.

A couple of weeks ago, while I was waiting for Consuela to finish making my truffle pancakes, I began thinking of my Puerto Rican girlfriend, Inez, who attends community college in Brooklyn and her family and how they struggle to get buy and started feeling bad for them.  So, I turned to dad and said “Father. Why do we live the way we do, while people like Consuela and Inez’s family have to live the way they do? Why do such inequities like this exist?” He told me “That’s just the way things are son.”

Well, I thought about that while Reginald drove me to school and even asked him what he thought of this whole thing. His answer was very enlightening. Especially his tales of living in the Hood. So exciting, yet heartbreaking at the same time. And that was when I realized I had to do something to change the world.

Anyway, I got together with my friends at school, Bennett, Hunter, Theodore and Josiah, and we decided that someone had to stand up to the people on Wall Street who are ruining this great country. After a couple of grande caffe mochas, with no sugar, no whipped cream, extra dry, with half skim and half full milk, we came up with the idea of going Tea Party on their asses! We agreed to march on Wall Street and protest.

Unfortunately, my sister, Tiffany Bianca, doesn’t feel the same way as I do. She attends Barnard College and has a double major in gender studies and political science. She refuses to join in with the rest of us protesting Wall Street. Instead, she is paying a Chinese exchange student who attends St. John’s to protest in her place. What. A. Snob.

So here we are, Occupying Wall Street every single day! Are we all going to flunk out of school? Who knows? Who cares? This is bigger than sitting in a classroom, listening to stupid lectures man. This is about giving regular people the chance to make something of their lives. With our help of course. I mean, it’s not like they could do this shit on their own.

That’s what I’m here for. I’m here to stand up for the people regular people. No need for them to come here and join us. In fact, we’d rather they didn’t. Because, when the TV cameras show up, we don’t want some uneducated hick from flyover country being interviewed and all the sudden America thinking that’s who started this.

No, no, no. No need to thank us either America. Well, maybe a little, but don’t make too big a deal out of it. We’re simply doing what others before us did. We are idealistic college students protesting wrongs and trying to make them right. And when we fail to make any meaningful changes, we will go back to class, graduate, and fulfill our family’s plan for us to marry into another rich family and then go to work for our fathers and be the people the NEXT generation protests. THAT is what America is all about people!
