IWS...Hatin' the Haters...and Lookin' for Some Facebook Love of Our Own.
Hiya Chuckleheads!!
Matt-Man here, and yes, I know, we usually do MSJS on Saturdays, but I have a few housekeeping items I would like to cover in regards to the IWS website and radio show.
First of all, Jayman and I would like to thank Carrie Welch, the former VP of Public Relations of The Television Food Network for commenting on Thursday’s post, a post which included a quasi-real, albeit not exactly true replication of what she most definitely did not actually say to Jayman in reference to his Wednesday post about how The Food Network these days, pretty much sucks.
Ms. Welch actually finds us funny and intimated in her comment that she would like to be a guest on our show sometime, which we would truly enjoy.
Let’s just hope that the lovely and fun-loving Ms. Welch’s remark is more truthful than the letter I wrote in her name. But seriously, it was very nice of her, and we willbeg her to be on work on scheduling her for a show in the very near future.
Secondly…
Did you know that IWS Radio has a Facebook Page? No, we really do, it’s true!! And…
156 of you adorable heathens know that, however…
Many of you have not “liked” our IWS Facebook Page. In a word? That’s just not right.
I mean c’mon…Everyday, either on the website and/or the radio twice a week, we provide you with quality entertainment at a fair price, and what do we get in return?
A mere 156 likes on our FB page and a whole lotta heartache. It pains me to tell you that being the manly men that Jayman and I are, we sometimes cry over that fact, but….we do.
We’re only human, folks…and we yearn for your love, or in this case…your “like.”
Hell tell your friends to “like” us; you don’t even have to yourself, if you get them to do it for you. Hell, we’re not picky.
Merely click on the IWS RADIO FACEBOOK PAGE and like us. Yes, it’s that easy.
If the lovely Carrie Welch can take the time to comment on our website and offer to be on our radio show, you can take the time to like us two moronic, yet affable fellas on our Facebook page…..
Please?
And while we will work to schedule the lovely Ms. Welch for a soonly future show, this Sunday on IWS Radio live at Noon ET, Jayman and I will be scouring away all the hate from life and social media.
Man…cat fights, loud neighbors, bluntness beyond on belief…It was a hate-filled week, and we will be calling the haters out and try to bring peace and serenity to the world.
To catch us live Sunday at Noon ET…Click HERE for the Haters Gonna Hate II show on IWS on Blog Talk Radio.
Until then, this is the always loving, and not-a-hate-filled bone-in-my-body, Matt-Man bidding you…
Cheers!!

Facebook...A Gateway To Cowardice
Happy Friiiiiiiiiday Bitches and welcome to the weekend on I’m With Stupid!!
Oh what a week it has been and let me tell you…if past is prologue, I have one fucked up future on my hands. Or, possibly not. Or…well, you decide.
I have many pet peeves, but one reared its ugly head last night, and by that, I mean, late last night which pissed me off, because I write in the moment and had to stay topical so I had to…
Erase my initial post and…oh sorry…Delete my initial post, and start over.
Anyhoo…
Something transpired over an innocuous Facebook post yesterday, that sent me into a tizzy. And, if you don’t know what a tizzy is…
It is a state of heightened, what the fuckness. Anyway, a chick that I was close to up til’ some TWENTY-SEVEN years ago, commented on my Facebook page over a picture I posted.
Her response was funny and was in keeping with, her penchant for comedy, which proceeded a few more funny comments which were posted by others and then…?
Her comment was gone.
My old High School girlfriend deleted her comment. It pissed me off. It made me angry, and most importantly…
It made my most funny comeback to HER comment look as though I was talking to myself. I hate that!!
The deletion of her comment made me angry because it revealed to me, something that I had always known.
People are fucking dicks.
And the worst thing?
People who are the closest, or at least used to be the closest, are the biggest dicks of all.
The chick who deleted her comment, gave me some lame excuse that it wasn’t worded well, and that’s why she did it.
Well, ten minutes after she typed that, and a like later, she “discovered” that. Gimme a break. She just doesn’t want to cause waves within her relationship. And seriously, that’s fine, and if that is what it takes, have at it.
However…
If you are in a relationship with a person who doesn’t understand that women and men have been, will be, and can be friends with people from their past, present, and future in spite of their opposite gender, than really, do you really want to be part of their less than complex mentality?
I strike the theme with my friend as an example, but have seen it all too many times in others.
If a person loves you, they love you.
If they don’t? They don’t. It really is that simple.
A person can try to keep away other assumed suitors, interlopers, and tempters and temptresses, but in the end?
She loves you, and you love her; or you don’t.
In the meantime, there’s no reason to label a person who would like to talk to an old buddy, a threat.
Cheers!!

Dennis Miller Cowardly Asshole...Cha Cha
“The coward wretch whose hand and heart, can bear to torture aught below; is ever first to quail and flee, from the slightest pain, or equal foe.”
--Bertrand Russell
Boy I tell ya…Bert was one smart muthafu----shut your mouth!! Yes he was. He was a genius, and the above quote, one of the more simplistic for him, is dead on.
I have encountered many examples of this type of cowardly behavior of late, and by golly, the Twitter activity I experienced this past Sunday evening, compels me today, to write upon this very subject…
Cowardice.
I love the phrase, “Social Media”. It sounds so happy, so open, so inclusive, but many times, it is not.
In fact, social media venues such as blogs, Facebook, and the aforementioned Twitter, are often no more than dens for group think, group hate, and virtual sanctuaries for those who live in fear…
For those who find comfort and safety within the swaddling security of like-mindedness rather than the growth and societal awareness which comes from the back and forth of differing opinions…
For those who live with cowardice.
It’s funny, in a strange way…
There are folks in government, in entertainment, and everyday life who claim to “have all the answers” to every economic, political, and social ill that exists today, but even more cowardly than they, are those who sit behind a microphone on radio and TV, and espouse their views as pundits, strategists, and worst of all…Radio/TV Talk Show Hosts.
Talk Show hosts are the most cowardly group of individuals I have ever come across. They are, in a word, okay three words…spineless mouth breathers.
It was about a year ago, I was Tweeting back and forth with the man who claims to never lose an argument, “talk radio King” Neal Boortz. I responded to something he had said while he was eating dinner at a restaurant, and after a couple of tweets he said, “That’s it, you’re blocked.”
I have heard Sean Hannity say on his radio show…
“Join my, Don’t Let Your Heart Be Troubled Twitter Army. It’s fun. I get tweets from Liberals, to which I say, Thanks and bye-bye, I’m blocking you now. It’s fun!!”
What the Hell is that? That's informed debate?
Anyway…The exclamation point on the subject of non-discourse came this past Sunday when I made a comment about how unfunny a Dennis Miller tweet was, and the may or may have not been drunk Dennis Miller, actually replied to my tweet.
It led to a couple more tweets as demonstrated by the pictures. It was fun. He made fun of me, I of him, and then what happened?
That’s right, Mr. I Am Bill O’Reilly’s Bitch…Mr. I Came Out of the Conservative Closet in Order to Make a Living on FOX NEWS, and Mr. I Am So Damn Smart and Funny That I Got Booted From Monday Night Football, blocked me.
Dennis Miller realized Sunday night, that he wasn’t talking to a typical viewer of FOX NEWS, nor an idiot who enjoys others thinking on his or her behalf.
And because he failed to follow comedic rule number one of knowing your audience, he slipped up, showed himself to be far from a genius, and then cha-cha’ed into obscurity on my Twitter feed by blocking me….
Just as any good coward would.

I think many including Dennis Miller himself, think of him to be outside of “convention”, to be, “on the cutting edge.”
Pfffffffft….
Dennis Miller, just like Neal Boortz, FOX NEWS, Rachel Maddow, Sean Hannity, Ed Schultz, and all of the other “big-timers” is nothing of the sort.
Miller and blowhards like him, are people who seek comfort (and ratings) in like-mindedness, and eschew informed debate which doesn’t include the facts they seek from the conclusions that they have already made.
These folks, just like the choir to whom they preach, are monolithic, un-curious, and most importantly…Cowardly.
Cheers!!

Changing The Guard
It's that time of year again when we'e taking on new staff in anticipation of a busy summer season. It looks like we will be changing the entire part time brigade this summer. Fred will be leaving for a full time job, while Laura, Ellie, Maddie and Rachel will all be heading off to university.
As I have done for a few years now I advertised on Facebook, which got a dozen responses plus one person reported me to the Facebook cops for friend requesting them. I whittled out four of the initial twelve before interview, including nearly all the boys who really need to learn that as informal as Facebook is, when you are talking to a prospective employer calling him "mate" and "pal" is not the way to go.
This week then I have conducted eight interviews and now I'm in a real quandary. Sometimes the interviews throw up a one or two outstanding candidates who obviously stand head and shoulders above the rest of the group. Last year I thought Maddy fitted this description and she has proved to be a charming addition to the team. This year I would happily employ 7 from the 8 interviewees, it is going to be really tough to winnow the field down to the two we want to take on at this time.
Also this year at interview I asked some slightly oddball questions in order to make the candidates chat a bit, getting them to explain the LBW rule in cricket was fun, Having them sell their favourite band to me was even more so and provided some eloquent and spirited defences of an assortment of acts from Coldplay to N-Dubz.
I also asked that if a deity could grant you a personal superpower and then change one thing about the world what would they choose. This brought some lovely responses along the lines of eradicating poverty and halting all wars, and then some unintentional hilarity when one person said they'd like to have all the countries closer together. That's nice, I thought, bringing down boundaries and making us all better neighbours. Not for that reason though said the candidate, it's just that Australia is such an awfully long way away and if it was closer it would be cheaper to travel to.
One candidate giggled, perhaps through nerves, all the way though the interview, but her laugh was so infectious she had me laughing with her by the end. Another almost reduced me to tears with a heartfelt deity request that was so unexpected honest that it stopped me in my tracks for a moment.
I have high hopes ten for this year's intake. Two young people will be offered a job today, and most of the rest will be given first choice if they are still available later in the summer. I know it won't be any consolation for those that don't get a place, but if I had enough employment to offer, I'd take them all on.

"Christians" Ain't Got A Clue
“You need to give your life over to Christ.”
While in the throes of Super Happy Hole-ly Jesus Week™, I posted on Facebook, Monday, that I wanted to have a sex change and become a lesbian porn star…
In reference to my remark, the aforementioned comment was internettally uttered toward me in the form of a Facebook comment by a woman whom I can only assume, professes herself to be a Christian.
While my response to her was something along the lines of, “Jesus and I are tight.”, I really wanted to say to her…
“Blow me you presumptuous bitch with the Glamour Shot picture. How do you know that I am not one with The Lord, and secondly, what does your declarative statement actually mean?”
Does “giving my life to Christ” involve giving up smoking, drinking, out of wedlock sex, and refraining from making jokes about having a sex change and becoming a lesbian porn star?
Well…in the eyes of the woman who said this and many other “Christians”, yes, yes it does…However…
None of that shit makes a bit of difference in the eyes of The Almighty nor His Righteous, yet Bastard Offspring, Jesus Christ.
Nope.
In Matthew 5:3-12, we learn what the J-Man and his Pappy are all about.
Helping the poor. Comforting those who mourn. Lifting up the meek. Refreshing those who hunger and thirst, and so on.
The Beatitudes people…The great Sermon on the Mount. Those are words and directives that matter, and I try to adhere to that philosophy every damn day.
The chick who commented, “You need to give your life over to Jesus Christ.” probably doesn’t understand any of that. And, she is not alone.
Many “Christians” think that the only way to heaven is to read a text that they do not understand, go to church on Sundays and well…sometimes Wednesdays, and most importantly, judge others.
These folks who lie moribund in their theology, doctrine, and ideology, think that stoicism and respectful silence are the pathways to Heaven.
Ha…Christ was a rebel!!

Jesus Christ was the James Dean of the First Century AD!!
He had a sense of humor…He ultimately took down an Empire…He turned water into wine, all the while saying, “Dig this; watch what I can do, Paul!!”
And they lauuuuuughed…
Far too many “Christians” like the commenter I mention, are stolid, inertiated, ass clowns who don’t see the true joy and will of Christ.
Christ isn’t a pretentious fella. He’s a rad ass maniac who makes things happen, and hangs out with hookers, betrayers, and thieving tax collectors.
Christ doesn’t care what the hell one does, as long as they hurt no other, help when they can, and follow his sermon. And yeah…
It’s that simple.
Following or not following the teachings of Christ cannot be summated and dissolved into a stupid lesbian sex change joke.
Following or not following his teachings is summed up by the lives we lead.
Cheers!!

Matt Said...Jay Said XX
Matt nämnda…Jay nämnda…Du, Lyssnar
Jay: Helllllooooooo? Helllllllooooo?
Matt: Yeah, I’m here.
Jay: There’s this chick from Ghana who wants to be my friend on Facebook. Her name is Alphonsa Demolay.
Matt: Well, did you friend her back?
Jay: Not yet, I smell something suspicious.
Matt: Does she have any other friends?
Jay: No, just me.
Matt: That is suspicious.
Jay: Hey that chick you put on your Facebook page that is “Wearin’ the Green?”
Matt: Yeah? She’s hot isn’t she?
Jay: Hot? She’s disgusting!!
Matt: What the hell?
Jay: Dude, she looks like a defensive lineman for the Patriots, and those boobs?
Matt: Gimme a brea---
Jay: Those aren’t anywhere near real, and even if they are, they are way too big. Freakish even.
Matt: Are you saying you don’t like her?
Jay: Oh I’m sure she’s a nice girl, but man, join the circus already.
Matt: So what are we doing this Sunday on the show?
Jay: I think we should do a show about stuff that makes us feel good. Stuff that gives us the, “warm fuzzies.”
Matt: That’s incredibly gay, but I have nothing on this end that is any better.
Jay: Well…get something. C’mon, you know down deep you are sensitive and caring.
Matt: I used to be…but then I turned ten.
Jay: Seriously it will be good…We’ll talk the entire time in reassuring, female NPR voices.
Matt: That could be very soothing, which is good considering everyone listening will have a St. Patrick’s Day hangover.
Jay: So…the warm and fuzzy feel good idea is a go?
Matt: Yes, I am already thinking of things that make me feel good.
Jay: Me too and I already posted this question to others on Facebook…“What makes you feel good?”
Matt: Any feedback yet?
Jay: Other than your crass, “Olive Oil and Tyra Banks” remark, the lovely Jo said, “Jay makes me feel good.”
Matt: Mmmmmmmmmm, Jo.
Jay: Back off.
Matt: Easy fella.
Jay: So we will do the “Feel Good Show” this Sunday, aight?
Matt: That’s a big 10-4, Good Buddy.
Jay: It will be a winner.
Matt: As it always is. Later…
Jay: “click click click” What?
And you can join us Sunday at Noon EDT for the Feel Good Show on Blog Talk Radio by clicking HERE and/or calling in at 661.244.9852.
Cheers!!

Jay: No, just me.Matt: That is suspicious.

Age Defies Beauty...And Common Sense
Happy Hump Day, Kidz…
Matt-Man here with a full report on my birthday goings on from yesterday, and let me tell you…
It was awesome…for the most part. Alas…
There was a bit of a bump along the road of happiness and jocularity yesterday.
Y’see? I was having a great day yesterday.
I woke up early, had coffee, talked to my son, and then began to spend the day enjoying folks on Facebook and Twitter.
It was great, and dig it…yesterday was one of my rare days off, and I actually enjoyed bantering back and forth on the net, knowing that I didn’t have to go to work at 3 PM.
I just sat here in the digs, sipping beers, and appreciating all the fine folks that wished me well. It was overwhelming the wishes I received, and overwhelming in a great sense. Up until…
I asked my Facebook buddy Zina Figgiani to throw some Birthday love my way, and then?
It went downhill fast.
Around 2:20 PM or so, I asked “my Facebook friend” Zina Figgiani if she could throw some Birthday love my way, in the form of, and this is crucial, a “Happy Birthday”. I wasn’t asking for naked pics or anything, but no…
Zina Figgiani, who through deeds, purports herself to be some hot model, decided that offering me a simple “Happy Birthday” was below her stature in life.
Well my IWS community members, I didn’t get a Happy Birthday from thee of the sweet, hot bod. And, it hurt, so I spoke ill of her.
Yes, I spoke ill of her, her fake tits, and droopy thighs. I don’t like to do such a thing, but man, that chick is at least twenty years younger than me, and yet, my arms are more solid than her swayin’ and gyratin’bagel warmers that she calls, quadriceps.
When I attacked her for being rude to me, she defriended me, and like a swarm of African Bees, her minions of obviously less beauty than her, planted their poison barbs into my heart and onto my Facebook page.
Zina Faggiani’s buddy Araceli Azevedo who is laced with spider veins by the way, chimed in with, among other things…
“Get a life & delete her as a friend, because you just look like a loser who is not happy enough with your real life friends!!!”
Well, there ya go…
Shortly prior to Araceli’s diatribe, I posted on Facebook about how much I appreciated my friends and was enjoying the banter back and forth. Alas…
Araceli Azevedo continued her inane and philosophical attack on me and my state of mental health…
“Dude…I just looked at your profile. You have a wife. WTF does it matter…You need a shrink for reals.”
Well there ya go…I checked not once, not twice, but three times, and failed to find where I listed a wife in my profile, and also failed to find where the uber lovely, yet grey matter challenged, Araceli found one.
Sloppy assed Araceli, ye of the nasty ass spider veins, and obviously soon to be sagging boar tits, bashed me and outed me!!
And my friends, not only did Araceli out me, she gave voice to a nation of up and coming models, and like a runway of town criers they heralded, and I quote, oh yeah, I quote…I didn’t change a thing…
Gia Marie: “Way to pit him on blast Araceli.”
Skylar Reed: “Loser!!! I hope you leavethi sup so Zina can delete you’re a**!!!! So much for being friends.”
And who summed it up best? Actually Skylar.
Zina…who months ago on Facebook asked me to be “her friend”, I did, and yet…I can’t get a Happy Birthday out of her, and yet Skylar questions my “friend-hood?”
When Jayman and I ask you to be our friends on Facebook, or listen to our show; we want you to be our FRIENDS. We want to include you in the show, on the website, and in what we do.
Oh sure, we like numbers, but we like actual people more.
When they hit 35 years of age, and Zina, Araceli, Gia, and Skylar’s boobs have gravitated south of their waists, they will be wondering what went wrong. And me?
If I’m not dead, I know that I’ll still be getting, hails and fare thee wells from my sexy, yet not plasticized friends that I know, and I may even still be on the air with Jayman.
These unseemly, soon to be, “has been gutter whores” want to merely be famous, and me?
I want to be known as some dude who could write like nobody’s business and because of that, be famous.
I think of talent as the hard road to fame; these chicks think of fame as a destination without a journey.
And that is why, years from now, that instead of 47 year old guys like me asking chicks like them for Happy Birthday wishes, they will be begging for 47 year old guys like me to wish them Happy Birthday.
And then I at 60 something years old, will be delighting in all of the Facebook Birthday wishes that I get, and all the come-uppances that they will get.
Cheers!!
